Examine state rubrics to create a rubric template that aligns with the state system and language.
Examine student work to see how we are utilizing rubrics at this time.

Discuss suggestions for evaluating / assessing student progress daily
Brainstorm change strategies to implment in classes to collect and use daily data functionally in ELA

Rubrics:
ReplyDeleteexamined state rubrics for language, created general rubric language for a 5 point rubric (to align with state).
Decided on point values for each score on the rubric:
5=100
4=90
3=80
2=60
1=50
Balllesty will attempt a conversion chart for a variety of different catagories (different total point values).
Daily Data:
Writing: day's paragraph on half sheet to turn in, bucketize, pull 1s & 2s re-teach. 2s, briefly, 1s intensly
Reading:
Daily product to show understanding of day's lesson.
Bucketize it.

Bring student work samples to assess to check for consistency
Also came up with "What, Why, How" format for AIMs so scholars become more aware of why they are learning what they are learning and to also further incorporate the standards into the class room.
